Welcome to Reproducible Builds & Debian & Outreachy & thank you for your
interest in contributing!

Here's what I said to a similar request in the IRC chat on another day, I'm h01ger there.
<someone> How do we start contributing to the Debian reproducible. The outreachy website
doesn't provide specific details about the project.
<h01ger> thats intentional, as we are looking for contributors who can find their own
way to do contributions
<h01ger> the irc channel crowd is very good at (some) specific questions but probably
noone will be able to tell you what exactly to work on. *you* need to pick
something. we have many issue trackers, with plenty of issues in them.
<h01ger> and we have issues not yet tracked
<h01ger> if you have a specific question about something specific, by all means do ask.
<h01ger> most of our code (but not all) lives on https://salsa.debian.org/reproducible-builds
<h01ger> https://reproducible-builds.org/docs/ and https://reproducible-builds.org/contribute/
and https://reproducible-builds.org/docs/ and https://tests.reproducible-builds.org/
and https://lists.reproducible-builds.org/ are all urls you should visit

most of our continuous integration is written in python and shell. If you know any
programming language it should be possible to contribute, after some learning.
