How to create reproducible ext4 images

Hi,

I am working on CIP project and where I am trying to bring CIP system images built reproducibly.
I am facing one of the issues [1] with ex4 file systems where it is not reproducibly created.

As suggested in reproducible-build.org/doc [2] I have used `make_ext4fs` to generate but this tool is now outdated and no more maintained in the upstream [3].

Also, I tried with the latest version of mke2fs but with that also the file systems are not created reproducibly.
Do you have any idea whether mke2fs fixes this in near feature? And is there any other tool that I can use to create Image reproducibly?
