Dear Holger,
Upon reflection, I realize that my initial email may not have fully conveyed my objective. My intent is to lay the groundwork for a rigorous, formal definition of reproducibility in C.S.
To this end, I have begun drafting a document that delves into the nuances of reproducibility, which I plan to make openly accessible next year. This work is still in its formative stages, and I am keen to integrate it eventually into our website, if you are OK with it.
The document includes a dedicated section that attempts to formalize the concepts of 'computation' and 'reproducibility'. I've taken the liberty of synthesizing our formalism discussions into an online document, which is now available at: https://typst.app/project/rhUl4XwrXToXvxjoaWB6DI
Several members have already provided good feedback, which I am currently reviewing to refine the document further. I would be grateful for your insights as well. Any feedback you might offer will be highly appreciated and will undoubtedly contribute to the document's evolution.
Thank you for taking the time to engage with this initiative. I am looking forward to your thoughts.

Although I was regrettably unable to attend, I have been closely following the outcomes and I'm particularly interested in the effort to enhance the website with clear definitions of terms related to reproducibility, a terminology.

I believe that establishing formal definitions is not only critical for our collective understanding but also serves as a beacon for the academic community and those new to the concept, guiding them towards a standardized comprehension of reproducibility.

However, before I proceed further, I would like to know whether any of you have already worked on formulating such a definition. Collaboration or alignment with existing efforts would be more productive than working in isolation.
