diffoscope 227 released 💠

Hi,

The diffoscope maintainers are pleased to announce the release of
version 227 of diffoscope.

diffoscope tries to get to the bottom of what makes files or
directories different. It will recursively unpack archives of many
kinds and transform various binary formats into more human-readable
form to compare them. It can compare two tarballs, ISO images, or PDF
just as easily.

Version 227 includes the following changes:

  * Don't attempt to attach text-only differences notice if there are no
    differences to begin with. (Closes: #1024171, #1024349)
  * Don't run Python decompiling tests on Python bytecode that both file(1)
    cannot yet detect and Python 3.11 cannot demarshall. (Closes: #1024335)

Version 227 is available from Debian unstable as well as PyPI, and
will shortly be available on other platforms surely. More details can
be found here:
