Ah okay. Well, am very happy to try this approach. :)  And perhaps the
goal is less about consistency but that we capture the 'usual' number
associated with an entity? This would allow us to have the flexibility
to accommodate Java, Tails, etc.

To be clear, I don't have any of the answers here — indeed, the point
of this stage is to experiment to work out what might fit best.
