That is really good news! thanks for your work on this!

On a similar subject, I've been trying to bootstrap the scala compiler
for a while now, but it's really hard. Probably because scala is not
the right language to write your first compiler for :p

Do you know if there is interest in the scala community, or any
resource that would be useful for writing a compiler in a way that the
scala compiler is not needed? I've tried to use the documentation to 
write a scala parser for instance, but the information there is a bit
difficult to understand and even contradictory sometimes...
