So if I understand it correctly, this is about us joining
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Software_Freedom_Conservancy
so that when someone wants to donate $1000
it can go to SFC's bank account,
SFC keeps 10%,
pays no taxes (because it has already done all the paperwork)
so that the $900 can then be spent on what SFC considers best for our
mission (e.g. domains, servers, meetings, food)


Looking at

most are about software projects

This let's me wonder a bit how we define our mission.
The website says:
> “Reproducible builds” aim to provide a verifiable path from software source code to its compiled binary form.


and there is so much different stuff you can do under that.
Might even be a good thing.
