[rb-general] RFC: Hackfests in May? (was: Reproducible Builds Hackathon, April 7-9 in Hamburg)

I've not had time to do much for reproducible builds project myself but as
most on the list know I'm a huge fan of the project.

This schedule thread caught my eye.

If there is interest in a possible hackfest in Portland, OR in May, I'd be
willing to do venue research and see what I can get if you let me know about
how many people and what services you need in the venue.

It seems most of the developers are in Europe, which means Portland is not a
great location, but it is an "easier" flight from Asia than Europe is, I
think, so that's a benefit. For the Europeans, there's also a direct daily
flight from AMS<->PDX which I've taken that isn't bad.

If folks are interested in this, let me know. PyCon is in Portland in late
May, so a few days after Pycon might make sense -- and perhaps you could
draw in some folks from PyCon to stay?

If I can't actually give any other help to Reproducible Builds, at least I
could organize a good hackfest for everyone if it's of interest. ;)
