My two cents as an outsider:

They don't conflict, are philosophically compatible, and
one can make progress on each of them independently.

It would be nice if bootstrappable.org verified that each of its
outputs was in fact
bit-for-bit reproducible, that would increase confidence.

Likewise, once bootstrappable.org is mature enough to produce a gcc
that can build debian, the combination of the two projects will also
increase confidence.
