(Getting OT, but) I'd like to mention that I really appreciated learning
this particular statistical tidbit (I think it's 77% with that
variation?). It's very useful contextual information for framing
reproducible builds efforts. (Perhaps the numbers are out there
already, but this week was the first time I had heard it.)
During the "defining reproducible builds" sessions, even though there's
broad agreement on how to define reproducible *outputs*, this factoid
was a useful example of how there's some room for discussion and very
practical impacts of defining what constitutes reproducible *inputs*.
Huge thanks to everyone who did the work not just to make those packages
repro, but also for the effort to gather that sort of statistic.
