No logo works without Wordmark by default indeed. Every brand in the
past has established itselves first before they had the privilege to
let go of their wordmark (Nike, McDonalds, Adidas etc)<br/>

Overpass is indeed a good choice, it's the type face used by Red
Hat. Also we at Ura use Overpass. Montserrat is the typeface used by
Fedora.<br/>

I'd personally suggest option 1 or 2 as they are more recongizable.
It also offers more flexibility with a color palette later on when
there are 2 colors instead of one.<br/>

Should we open a voting on these 4 logos or would people be happy to
go with #1 or #2?<br/>

I like option #2 there most.<br/>
The Overpass font makes it clearer that it is not just any text,
but<br/>
part of the logo<br/>
and the colors make it easier to recognize from a distance (be
that on<br/>
a T-shirt, sticker or in a collection of small 'participating<br/>
projects' logos)<br/>
<br/>
I guess, there are not that many logos that people will recognize
and<br/>
correctly associate without text.<br/>
Even the distinctive SUSE chameleon rarely works without text
(that<br/>
people can Google)<br/>
so I guess we should encourage people to use the logo with<br/>
'reproducible builds' text in most cases.<br/>
