Thank you for filing the trydiffoscope issue. :)

I don't wish to open a can of worms here and part of me would like to
"just" activate diffoscope issues for you, but I fear having two issue
trackers would be a net negative for (hopefully obvious) reasons. Sorry.

I understand your annoyance with the BTS, but you could just send a
mail like:

  To: submit at bugs.debian.org
  Subject: FIXME

  Package: diffoscope
  Version: FIXME
  Severity: wishlist

  [description here]
