Hi,

The closest thing to .buildinfo we have at Tails is a description,
stored in our main Git repo, of how anyone may create a build VM,
inside which our ISO image will itself be built.

The unique identifier of said description is the latest Git commit
that modified our vagrant/ directory. And then the description
essentially includes everything in that directory, such as VM build
scripts and pointers to the specific snapshots of the Debian APT
archive that will be used in the VM e.g.:
https://gitlab.com/Tails/tails/tree/master/vagrant/definitions/tails-builder/config/APT_snapshots.d

Those who want the details about these APT archive snapshots may find
https://tails.boum.org/contribute/APT_repository/time-based_snapshots/
useful.

I'm happy to clarify any aspect you folks are interested in :)

Cheers,
